Under the deal, about 35% of Poly Medicure’s power consumption at its five Faridabad plants will be replaced with solar energy. The shift is expected to bring significant cost savings, with solar power costs estimated to be around 30% lower than existing discom rates. “This partnership with AMPIN Energy is a strategic move towards sustainability and operational efficiency,” said Dhruv Baid, senior manager of corporate strategy at Poly Medicure. “By transitioning to solar power, we are reducing our reliance on conventional energy and lowering our carbon footprint.” AMPIN’s managing director and CEO, Pinaki Bhattacharyya, said the deal aligns with the company’s efforts to decarbonize India’s healthcare industry. “We are the preferred renewable energy transition partner for pharma and healthcare firms, serving about 10 marquee customers. This agreement reinforces our commitment to providing cost-effective and sustainable energy solutions,” he said. Previous Collaboration In early 2025, Poly Medicure and AMPIN Energy Transition formed a joint venture to develop a captive solar power project in Haryana. The project aims to supply clean energy to Poly Medicure’s manufacturing facility, further strengthening the company’s renewable energy portfolio.
