Alpex Solar Gets Solar Pump Order In Haryana Under PM-KUSUM Alpex Solar, an integrated solar energy solutions company announced securing a fresh order valued at Rs 34.51 crore.  The latest contract is for the supply of 1,141 solar pumps to the Haryana Renewable Energy Department (HAREDA) under Component-B of the PM-KUSUM

Alpex Solar, an integrated solar energy solutions company announced securing a fresh order valued at Rs 34.51 crore.  The latest contract is for the supply of 1,141 solar pumps to the Haryana Renewable Energy Department (HAREDA) under Component-B of the PM-KUSUM scheme. This follows the company’s recent success in securing two major orders worth Rs 525.15 crore from prominent public sector undertakings (PSUs) for the supply of solar panels, bringing the total order value to Rs 559.66 crore in just two months.

The PM-KUSUM (Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan) scheme is a critical initiative aimed at boosting energy security for Indian farmers while advancing the country’s clean energy transition. The scheme contributes to India’s pledge to generate 40% of its installed electric power capacity from non-fossil-fuel sources by 2030, as part of its Intended Nationally Determined Contributions (INDCs). The order from HAREDA is expected to be completed within 120 days from the issuance of the work order.

Commenting on the new order,  Ashwani Sehgal, Managing Director of Alpex Solar, said, “This latest contract from HAREDA under the PM-KUSUM scheme is a significant achievement for Alpex Solar. By delivering 1,141 solar pumps, we are directly supporting farmers in Haryana with dependable energy solutions while also contributing to India’s renewable energy goals. This win, along with our recent orders worth Rs 525.15 crore, reaffirms the strength of our solutions and our ability to deliver large-scale, high-quality solar products. We are eager to complete this order and expand our photovoltaic module production capacity to 2.4 GW, further supporting India’s solar infrastructure.”

Sehgal further emphasized that solar pumps present a sustainable and cost-effective solution for India’s irrigation needs. Farmers traditionally depend on diesel pumps or grid electricity for water, both of which have their limitations. Solar pumps, powered by renewable energy, provide a reliable, eco-friendly alternative, especially in regions with limited access to electricity. These pumps also reduce operational costs by eliminating fuel expenses and contribute to reducing carbon emissions, aligning with India’s broader environmental objectives.

Alpex Solarmanufactures PV modules using monocrystalline and polycrystalline cell technologies. The company offers comprehensive solar solutions, including engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services for both AC/DC surface and submersible solar pumps. Alpex is also expanding its photovoltaic module production capacity with plans to double it to 2.4 GW.
