Alpex Solar Appoints Gaurav Bector As Global EPC Head

Listed Solar manufacturing and EPC firm Alpex Solar’s has plans to expand its footprint in overseas markets through its EPC business. To support this push, it has appointed  Gaurav Bector as the Global Head of EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction).

Gaurav was previously General Manager (ME&A) of Dubai based Qlite FZC and has over 30 years of cross-functional experience. Gaurav Bector has worked across various domains, including sales, marketing, engineering, project management new product development vendor management, and quality standards. He has been instrumental in developing businesses in smart buildings, LED lighting solutions, and energy management systems at top European multinationals. He has worked in companies like Qlite FZC, Siemens LLC, Areva T&D, and ABB Ltd. Bector holds a B.E (Electrical) degree from R.V. College of Engineering, Banglore University.

Alpex Solar Limited recently shared its plans to expand to set up a greenfield facility of 1.2 GW at Kosi Kotwan, Mathura. The new project is expected to be funded through internal accruals and loans. The company is already executing capacity expansion at its Surajpur, Greater Noida plant, which can add 750 MW by FY25, as per the IPO objects.

The company expects a capacity of 2.4 GW by FY2026 – which will enable it to meet the growing demand in India and other global key markets. In addition to the capacity expansion plans, the Board approved a new subsidiary – Alpex Green Energies Pvt. Ltd. – to diversify and enhance the company’s focus on green energy solutions.

The firm has also acquired a land parcel in Mathura, in UP to build a manufacturing facility for solar panels and modules. This land will also be used to establish a new plant for the Aluminum Frame Project, being relocated from the initially planned site due to inadequate space.
