ALMM: Vikram Solar, Rayzon, Swelect & Others Add New Capacities By Manish Kumar/ Updated On Fri, Jan 24th, 2025 The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has released its updated Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM), pegging India’s cumulative enlisted solar module manufacturing capacity at 67.40 GW. New Entrants and Capacity Additions ALMM: Vikram Solar, Rayzon, Swelect & Others Add New Capacities The latest ALMM highlights the addition of new capacities from eight domestic solar module manufacturers, including three new entrants. Notably, SAN Energy became the first Bihar-based module manufacturing unit to be enlisted. The other two new entrants, BVG India Limited and KLK Ventures, are based in Uttar Pradesh. BVG India Limited secured enlistment for 367 MW, while KLK Ventures entered with a total capacity of 27 MW. Expansion by Existing Players Five existing solar module manufacturers expanded their enlisted capacities. These include: Rayzon Solar – 1309 MW Sova Solar – 765 MW Vikram Solar – 296 MW Spark Solar – 82 MW Swelect Solar – 76 MW In contrast, Credence Solar saw a reduction in its enlisted capacity from 500 MW to 318 MW as per the latest ALMM, released by the MNRE. Growing Domestic Solar Module Industry The updated list is also significant as the number of domestic solar module manufacturers has now reached 100. While Gujarat remains home to most manufacturers, new states like Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu are emerging as key hubs for solar module production. Tags: 2023 update.
