Ajit Pratap Singh Joins Sterling & Wilson As Its New CFO SWREL

Sterling and Wilson’s Board of Directors has appointed Ajit Pratap Singh as the company’s new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Key Managerial Personnel. The new appointment will be effective from March 24, 2025.

In a regulatory filing, Sterling and Wilson also announced that Sandeep Mathew will step down as interim CFO at the close of business on March 23, 2025. However, he will continue in his role as Head of Investor Relations.

Ajit Pratap Singh’s Background

Sterling and Wilson highlighted Singh’s academic qualifications in the filing. The company said, “He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Shri Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur, a Bachelor of Law degree from Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur, and a Master of Science in Finance from the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India University, Tripura. In addition, he has a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration from Symbiosis Centre for Distance Learning, Pune, and has completed a Virtual Learning Programme in Strategic Management at IIM Kashipur.”

Professional Credentials and Work Experience

The company also highlighted Singh’s professional affiliations. It said, “Ajit is a member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India, and the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy. He is also a Certified Management Accountant (CMA), accredited by the Institute of Certified Management Accountants, USA.

When it comes to experience, Ajit has held key roles across various organizations. His career spans positions at Transrail Lighting Limited, OPG Power Generation Private Limited, Threads India Limited, Ghazanfar Group, Madhya Pradesh Jaypee Minerals Limited, Vedanta Aluminium Limited, JSW Bengal Steel Limited, and South African Coal Mine Holdings.
