Adani Green Q3 Results- PAT Rises 85% To Rs 474 crore

Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL), the green energy developer arm of the Adani Group declared its financial results for Q3 FY25 on Thursday evening. The firm has posted a strong set of results, posting an over 85 percent rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 474 crore for the December quarter on the back of higher revenues from power supply.

Net profits in the corresponding quarter last year were at Rs 256 crore.  Revenue from power supply rose to Rs 1,993 crore in the quarter from Rs 1,765 crore in the same period a year ago.

High Hopes On Khavda

Amit Singh, CEO, of Adani Green said “We are steadily developing the world’s largest RE plant in Khavda, Gujarat as well as large-scale plants in Rajasthan and other sites, supported by well-aligned transmission planning. Our updated strategy now includes large deployment of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), given significant cost declines in last few quarters,” he said.

The operational capacity of the company increased by 37 percent YoY (year-on-year) to 11,609 MW with new addition of 3,131 MW power plants. AGEL contributed 15 percent to the nationwide utility-scale solar and 12 percent to wind installations in calendar year 2024.

Surge In Energy Sales

Sale of energy increased 23 percent YoY at 20,108 million units in April- December 2024, backed by robust capacity addition, AGEL stated.

The latest set of numbers from the firm has seen little impact on the stock price of the firm, hammered down due to allegations in the US. While that might potentially impact fundraising plans in that market, the firm has stood with its view that the charges will be contested. An improving liquidity profile across the group also means the risks of significant project delays remain in the distant horizon for now. As of now, the group has crossed 11.6 GW of total operational capacity. It will seek to 6-8 GW of fresh capacity each year from here on to reach its targeted capacity of 50 GW by 2030.
