In two back to back filings at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), Adani Green Energy Limited has announced the operationalisation of two traches of solar projects at Khavda Gujarat. While one involved a group of projects adding upto 775 MW, the other filing pertained to a further 212 MW of projects operationalised. The announcements follow an earlier announcement with regards to operationalising 180 MW on March 27.

Together with its earlier announcement this month about operationalising an aggregate of 1 GW of solar projects in Khavda, besides  300 MW of wind projects, this might turn out to be the busiest March ever for Adani Green Energy. And perhaps any company  in the sector in India, assuming all these project announcements donot involve any overlap.  It will also help buttress India’s overall numbers for the financial year to a number far closer to 15 GW, than it seemed possible in January this year. It should also have taken Adani Green’s operational renewable generation portfolio size beyond 10 GW, making it the clear leader in the country.

With a target of 45 GW by 2030, Adani Green Energy has set itself an ambitious target to be the largest integrated renewable power developer in the country, with a high focus on solar power.
