Adani Renewable Energy Park (Gujarat), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Adani Green Energy has bagged project capacity worth 600 MW to develop solar-wind hybrid projects in the latest Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) auction. Adani Green Energy announced in a regulatory filing that its arm had received the Letter of Awards (LOA) from SECI for the 600 MW projects after quoting a fixed tariff rate of Rs 2.69/kWh for the duration of the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) of 25-years with SECI. The projects are expected to be commissioned by the fourth quarter of FY2021. “Adani Renewable Energy Park (Gujarat) Ltd (AREPGL), a Wholly-owned Subsidiary of Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) had won bids for setting up 600 MWac ISTS-connected Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Projects in a Tender issued by SECI,” the company said. In February, Mahoba Solar (UP) Private Limited, another wholly owned subsidiary of Adani Green Energy had been awarded 390 MW of capacity in a hybrid renewable energy project. The tender for which was floated by SECI. The project is expected to have a solar generation capacity of 360 MW and wind generation capacity of 100 MW. Later that month, the company announced the award of another tender, this time Adani Renewable Energy Park (Gujarat) had been awarded a tender to set up 150 MW of solar power projects in the state of Gujarat. The project is expected to be commissioned by October-December quarter of the 2020-21 financial year, with the fixed PPA tariff of Rs 2.671/kWh for a period of 25 years. With the award of the latest 600 MW capacity, AGEL’s portfolio of renewable generation capacity in India stands at 5.16 GW with 2.02 GW operational projects and balance 3.14 GW in the development stage.
