The selected developers are required to establish wind power projects on a build own operate (BOO) basis, stated the release by Adani Group.

According to the tender, the last date for the submission of the bid is April 2 while the bids will be opened on April 5. An earnest money deposit amounting to Rs 1.26 million/MW for each project is also required to be deposited.

As per the tender by Adani Electricity Mumbai, Wind power projects under construction, or those not yet commissioned, may also be considered, provided they are not already accepted under any other central or state programme. Further, the company will enter into a power purchase agreement (PPA) with successful wind power developers for 25 years from the scheduled commercial operation date.

So far as eligibility is concerned, wind power projects linked to the intra-state transmission system must have a minimum bid capacity of 10 MW or more, while those connected to the inter-state transmission system should have a minimum bid capacity of 50 MW or more, stated the Adani tender. Further, the developers are required to strictly adhere to the specific guidelines for wind power projects, aligned with the applicable state policies where the project is located. The scope of work will include the developer for setting up generating systems for the supply of wind power. Bidders will also be allowed to form joint ventures and consortia for participation in the bidding process, stated the tender.

In other news, Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL), a renewable energy (RE) company and a solar PV developer, has recently operationalized 551 MW solar capacity in Khavda, Gujarat, to supply power to the national grid. AGEL achieved this target within 12 months of commencing work on the Khavda RE park.
