Haryana-based ACME Solar Holdings Limited (ASHL), has now commissioned its four ISTS-connected SECI projects. These solar projects aggregated to 1.02 GW are located in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. They are part of a 1200 MW cluster spread over 4 projects.

This achievement marks the commissioning of one of the largest single-location projects in India. The remaining capacity of 177 MW from these plants is already energized and is in the process of commissioning. The project had already started supplying power from October 2024.

This project at its full capacity is estimated to generate around 3000 MUs of clean electricity. Located in one of the best solar irradiation zones in the country, it leverages common infrastructure from all four plants (300 MW each) to evacuate power leading to optimized generation at a higher efficiency. The project is financed by PFC and REC and has a 25-year PPA with Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI). The project is being commissioned at a tariff of Rs 2.44/ unit.

Commenting on this achievement, Nikhil Dhingra, CEO of ACME Solar Holdings Limited, said, “This commissioning is a very important milestone for us. This takes our total Commissioned portfolio to 2363 MW and central government counterparty portfolio to 65% of total portfolio. Out of this, we have 1773 MW capacity located in the high irradiance zone of Rajasthan. We are very thankful to all stakeholders for their support. It is a testament to the excellent project and engineering capabilities of our team.”

He further added, “We are really looking forward to strengthening our presence in Rajasthan further in the near term with our upcoming CTU-connected solar, FDRE and Hybrid plants utilising our existing connectivity and executed PPA’s with Central counterparties.”

Before this project, Acme, which also got listed in December as a public firm, had detailed total operational capacity of of 1,340 MW (1,826 MWp) solar power projects; Under Construction Contracted Project capacity of 3,250 MW including solar power projects of 1,500 MW (2,192 MWp), wind power projects of 150 MW, hybrid projects of 1,030 MW and FDRE projects of 570 MW; and Under Construction Awarded Project capacity of 1,730 MW comprising 600 MW (870 MWp) of solar power projects, 450 MW hybrid power projects and 680 MW of FDRE power projects.
