ACME Fixed 140MW Solar Power Project in Haryana

ACME, one of the solar power generators has secured 140MW out of 150MW Solar Project in Haryana at the tariff of Rs 5 per unit.

Under the renewable purchase obligations (RPO) scheme, the company likewise to sell the generated power to Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Ltd. from the following year.

‘The company is yet to finalize the location for the project and could opt for power generation at multiple locations in Haryana,’ ACME Sr. executive said.

ACME will commission the task in 2017 and they had a plan to buy 5 acres of land (approx.) for establishing the task.

HBVN Ltd. official said that, ‘The Company has not been able to buy adequate power under the RPO due to lack of adequate renewable generation at appropriate rates in the state.’

ACME had their existing solar profile of more than 1GW; including Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan and Gujarat projects.

On the occasion of First Renewable Energy Global Investors Meet, ACME had made a commitment to produce 7500 MW of Solar Energy Projects by 2019.
