The Airports Authority of India (AAI) is looking for an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor to develop a 4 MW ground-mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) project at the Biju Patnaik International (BPI) Airport in Bhubaneswar. The bid submission deadline is January 31, 2019, and the bids will open on February 5, 2019. Each bidder must submit an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of Rs 5087815/- to have eligible bids. The estimated project cost is Rs 258,781,444 and the project completion timeframe is four months from the time the contract is awarded. The scope of work for the winning bidders will include the site survey, shadow analysis, complete design for optimal use of space, engineering, manufacture, supply, storage, insurance, civil work, testing, and commissioning of the grid-connected solar PV project. To be eligible, the bidder should have an annualised average financial turnover of Rs 8.20 crore against works executed during the last three years ending 31st March of the previous financial year. AAI is seeking to use solar as a low-cost and renewable source of power to fuel operations at various airports across India. And, should have satisfactorily completed three similar projects each of Rs 10.93 crore or two projects, each of Rs 13.66 crore or one project of Rs 21.85 crore during last seven years ending on the last date of submission.
