HOP Electric Receives Strong Response Before Commercial Launch

Jaipur-based electric vehicle ecosystem company, HOP Electric claim that they have received a strong response for its HOP OXO high-speed electric bike . The bike is being released in August only. The first production batch’s pre-order window briefly opened for dealer partners of HOP Electric Mobility. HOP electric claims that even before the product’s official launch, 5000 EV bikes have already been reserved by the users. With the the strong response, the firm has closed the booking window for the bike for now.

According to HOP OXO, the electric bike has passed all relevant tests including AIS 156 for batteries, by the leading automotive R&D organisation in India, Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), which is connected to the Ministry of Heavy Industries.

Along with it, the company also claims that the business has completed 100,000 km of road testing across 14 Indian states as part of the #OXOSNEAKPEEK campaign. The business has been offering HOP OXO test drives at a number of its dealership touchpoints in India.

As a result of India’s 140 HOP dealerships, it is anticipated that HOP Electric Mobility would experience immediate growth for the HOP OXO. Dealership openings have been a company priority. Over 60 new dealerships have been opened by it in India over the last six months.

For those who are unaware, HOP Electric Mobility just completed a strategic round of USD 2.6 million as a part of its ongoing USD 10 million pre-series financings.

The success for the firm underscores the high demand, and interest in electric scooters and bikes, made stronger by the high ruling prices of petrol. The market has a high number of players for buyers to pick from, with most having limited inventories due to the ongoing suppky side issues. Major legacy players like Bajaj Auro, Hero Moto sport and TVS are still ramping up production volumes to make a mark here, even as some of the established players like Ather average sales of under 3000 vehicles per month. OR massively funded Ola Electric, that s on course to sell over 6000 per month consistently, once it overcomes it quality issues.
