Zevo Inks Deal With Zen Mobility For Last Mile Delivery

Electric Vehicle supply chain firms ZEVO and Zen Mobility have inked a deal regarding improving last-mile delivery in India. The agreement is premised on automotive solutions in which Zen Mobility created the Zen Micro Pod, a unique car made specifically to maneuver through India’s clogged city streets.

According to Zen Mobility, this partnership will improve delivery dependability and efficiency, which will help services like Zomato, Swiggy, and others of a similar nature.

As part of this collaboration, ZEVO will roll out 3,000 Zen Micro Pods over the course of the following 12 months, which will significantly increase delivery operations. With its 150 kg payload carrying capability, more than 120 kilometers of range on a single charge, and bespoke package, the Zen Micro Pod’s unique design makes it easy to maneuver through traffic and guarantees on-time delivery.

Further enhancing ZEVO’s delivery capabilities will be Zen Mobility‘s upcoming Zen Maxi Pod, a 4-wheeler Light Electric Vehicle (LEV) intended for mid- to large-size deliveries.

With an initial focus on Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR), ZEVO intends to roll out these cutting-edge vehicles across the country. In order to satisfy local challenges, this first phase will allow for extensive testing and refinement. When these areas see successful implementation, the rollout will proceed to other areas.

ZEVO plans to dedicate a significant part of its fleet to e-commerce deliveries in order to fulfill the increasing demand for consumer goods shipments on time. To strike a balance between these two crucial sectors, the same number of units will be devoted to grocery delivery services concurrently.
