Bengaluru-based Zetwerk, which is a managed marketplace for contract manufacturing announced its plans to install electric vehicle (EV) fast chargers in major cities and on key highways to enhance accessibility and travel convenience.

Zetwerk, a managed marketplace for contract manufacturing recently, secured an order with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) to set up EV fast chargers across India. It received this order to install EV fast chargers after a competitive bidding which was participated by more than 40 leading EV suppliers across the country.

With this association, Zetwerk supports IOCL’s, a retailer in India, aspiration to become a 360-degree energy solutions provider company. It actively invested in the emerging trends in mobility such as EVs. As part of its long-term ESG goals, Indian Oil is on a powerful mission to empower consumers with options for embracing clean energy solutions and reducing carbon footprint as well as the cost of transportation.

Fuelling IndianOil’s green agenda, Zetwerk is expected to set up 1400-plus EV chargers with a capacity of 50-60kW and 100-120kW. These will be the DC Dual gun CCS2 DC Charger that can charge two vehicles simultaneously with a dynamic load-sharing mode. “This prestigious partnership with IndianOil, the leading energy company of India, is very significant for ZETWERK’s vision for revolutionizing EV charging infrastructure in India.

These charging stations will be deployed as per requirement across IOC outlets, providing a seamless charging experience. By conveniently locating these stations in major cities, we will enable the widespread adoption of EV mobility and drive the nation towards a sustainable future,” said Abhay Adya, Business Head – Renewables, Zetwerk. This is a significant win for a company that has been expanding its reach in the renewable energy sector and has been associated with the setting up of Bangladesh’s largest solar power plant.
