Tata Motors to Deliver 5000 Electric Sedan Cars XPRES-T EVs to Everest Fleet Tata Motors & Uber partnership

Tata Motors has announced the signing of an MoU with Everest Fleet Private Limited, an operator of shared mobility space in India. Under the agreement, the auto czar will deliver 5000 XPRES-T electric vehicles keeping the vision of a clean and green environment alive. The company said that moving forward in its journey towards accelerating the transition to sustainable transportation, it has handed over 100 EVs to mark the celebration.

Ramesh Dorairajan, Senior General Manager, Network Management and EV Sales, Tata Motors, said, “With enhanced safety, fast charging solution, a premium interior theme, and dynamic performance at an affordable price, the XPRES-T EV has created a new benchmark in India’s EV fleet segment with a market share of more than 90%. Through such partnerships, we are successfully moving towards enhancing EV adoption in India, thereby helping the country #EvolveToElectric.”

Siddharth Ladsariya, Founder, Everest Fleet, stated, “Time has come to now take our 100% CNG cars’ fleet towards a greener and cleaner alternative – Electric Vehicle. We are really looking forward for this EV journey together with Tata Motors as a strategic partner.”

On The Run

In July 2021, Tata Motors launched the ‘XPRES’ brand exclusively for fleet customers, and the XPRES-T EV is the first vehicle under this brand. The new XPRES-T electric sedan comes with 2 range options – 213km and 165km. It packs a high energy density battery of 21.5 kWh and 16.5 kWh and be charged from 0- 80% in 90 mins and 110 mins, respectively.

Tata Motors claims to be revolutionizing the Indian automotive market with its pioneering efforts and commands market share of 87% in FY’22. It said that more than 50,000 Tata EVs rolled out from the plant to date in the personal and fleet segment.

Furthermore, Tata Motors is also working closely with other Tata Group companies including Tata Power, Tata Chemicals, Tata Auto Components, Tata Motors Finance, and Croma, enable faster adoption of EVs in India through its EV ecosystem called the ‘Tata uniEVerse’.

In October, the company signed an agreement with Evera, one of the earliest EV only – ride-hailing platform in Delhi NCR region, for delivering 2,000 XPRES T electric vehicles. Similarly, India’s largest four wheeler EV manufacturer and seller – BlueSmart – placed an order for 10,000 XPRES T EVs with Tata Motors. Amplus Solar’s Electric Mobility vertical too inked deal with India’s biggest EV maker regarding the procurement of Ace EV, strengthening its fleet for clean mobility solutions for cargo delivery.
