Satyen Sail Takes Over as Mobility Business Head at Magenta Mobility

Satyen Sail has been appointed as the new Mobility Business Head at Magenta Mobility, a provider of electric mobility solutions.

Satyen brings to the table more than 27 years of work experience that entails working with Coca-Cola, Vodafone, Kingfisher, and Reliance. Prior to his role at Magenta, Satyen looked after fleet operations with Lithium Urban Technologies. He was also the India Head for Electric Bus Charging Infrasructure at Green Cell Mobility.

Maxson Lewis, Founder and MD of Magenta Mobility said, “Satyen is a highly respected personality in the e-Mobility space and known for having a hands-on approach to the EV fleet ecosystem. He has successfully built and grown businesses in the logistics space using electric vehicles.” He added that in his role, Sail will give an impetus to the firm’s overall plans while helping cement strategic client relationships and partnerships. “His leadership and business acumen will enable us to chart the next growth phase for Magenta Mobility,” he concluded.

Of late, Magenta Mobility has been in the news for raking up capital infusion through funding rounds. Last month, the firm concluded a Series A1 funding round, which has rung in USD 22 million equity investment coming in from UK-headquartered bp and Morgan Stanley India Infrastructure-managed investment fund.

Magenta Mobility has set sights on expanding its market presence into eight more cities. Towards this goal, it is eyeing geographical reach on a quarterly basis.
