Revolt Motors, an electric vehicle company based in Haryana, has launched a new electric motorcycle called the RV1. The company was established in 2017 and now working to boost electric mobility. This comes in a week when several automobile companies like BMW, Mahindra and others have either launched or announced launch of new electric vehicles in the country.

While targeting the commuter segment, the Revolt Motor’s RV1 starts at a price of ₹84,990. The model’s launch comes right after Ola Electric unveiled its Roadster series e-bike priced starting at ₹74,999. The new entrants have dialed down the erstwhile lowest price of electric motorcycles, which was ₹1,10,000.

The RV1 has an option for two varieties of lithium-ion batteries that are very efficient and long in life. The standard one comes with a 2.2 kWh battery capable of taking a rider 100 kilometers in one single charge. The person who wants to cover an increased range has the alternative of getting a more massive 3.24 kWh battery that extends the radius up to 160 kilometers. As a part of this battery selection choice, the target consumer is going to be able to pick what suits the needs for daily commutes.

A second product variant known as RV1+ has also hit the streets. This product will be available at ₹99,990. The features will be identical to those offered by RV1, but it does carry all those features focused on a more premium market segment.

The RV1 is not Revolt’s debut foray into the electric motorcycle market. It’s the company’s fourth product, preceded by the earlier RV400 and RV400 BRZ. This ploy underlines the drive that the company has for setting its standards in innovation and in the electric vehicle sector.

Electric motorbikes and cars are green options rather than the fossil fuel-driven vehicles. Companies such as Revolt Motors and Ola Electric have today lowered the prices and enhanced the technology behind the batteries. This helps the consumers opt for greener options.
