The company said that the partnership is aimed at offering a unified EV charging experience to EV users and fleets. According to a press statement by the company, fleet operators can now partner with Pulse Energy directly to get access to affordable and accessible charging options across 20+ charging networks irrespective of where they are operating in India. Individual EV users will now be able to download any one of Pulse Energy’s applications to access the entire network – like the InstaCharge app, where users can start and stop more than 2000+ fast chargers. The latest integration of ChargeZone with Pulse Energy’s network will introduce an additional 400+ CCS2 chargers available across all the main highways in the country, making trips a hassle-free experience for individual EV drivers. According to Pulse Energy, its largest customer base continues to be the 160 EV fleet operators and 15,000 EV drivers that use their network daily. As far as charging is concerned, fleet drivers will not have to download an app or keep track of any usernames or passwords. They simply plug the vehicle in and start the charging process via Whatsapp. On collaborating with multiple eMSPs, Mr. Kartikey Hariyani, Founder and CEO, MD of Tesco ChargeZone, said, “By joining forces with Pulse Energy and an extensive network of over 20 charging providers, we are reshaping the EV charging landscape in India. Our collaboration doesn’t just offer convenience; it represents a pivotal shift towards a unified and accessible charging infrastructure. With ChargeZone’s integration, we’re enhancing Pulse Energy’s network with hundreds of additional CCS2 chargers along major highways, ensuring seamless journeys for EV drivers. Together, we’re not just facilitating charging; we’re driving a paradigm shift towards sustainability and innovation in the EV ecosystem.” As per Ministry of Power data, there are 12,146 operational public EV charging facilities across India as of February 2. Most number of EV charging spots is in Maharashtra followed by Delhi and Karnataka. While Maharashtra has 3,079 EV charging spots, Delhi has 1886 respectively. Further, 148 EV charging stations have been commissioned under the FAME India Scheme Phase-2 under which Gujarat has highest number of charging stations followed by Kerela and Delhi.
