Okaya EV Chargers Gets HPCL Order For 600 EV Chargers Courier Company Blue Dart To Expand EV Fleet

Okaya EV Chargers has announced that it has secured an order for 600 EV chargers from Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL). The order includes the installation of 60KW CCS2 Dual Gun and 120KW CCS2 Dual Gun chargers at various locations across India, stated the press release by the company.

The company Okaya EV said, “These chargers hold ISO 9001, 14001, and 5001 certifications and are further evaluated and endorsed by the ARAI and iCAT, government-certified associations. This comprehensive portfolio of chargers ensures the seamless charging of electric vehicles, catering to various power requirements.”

“In addition to ensuring the longevity of the charging equipment, this comprehensive safety package also protects users’ safety and the surrounding infrastructure,” the statement further added.

Last month, Delhi-based  EV Chargers manufacturer Servotech announced it has bagged an order for nearly 1500 DC fast EV chargers from Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) and other EV charger OEMs worth Rs 102 crores involving two charger variants of 60 kW and 120 kW. According to a media release by the company, orders secured by HPCL involve Servotech manufacturing, supplying, and installing DC EV Chargers nationwide, prioritizing deployment at HPCL’s retail outlets. Additionally, Servotech will also manufacture and supply the rest of the chargers to EV charger OEMs.

In other news, Union Minister of Road, Transport and Highway Nitin Gadkari recently shared data on the plans to substitute fossil fuel vehicles with Electric Vehicles (EVs) and also shared the number of EV two-wheelers, four-wheelers, goods transport vehicles and passenger vehicles plying on the roads, as on till date. In a written reply to the parliament, the minister stated, “To facilitate the development of Motor Vehicles running on non-fossil fuels like CNG, Bio-CNG, LNG, EV, Biofuels, etc. the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH) has notified mass emission standards in respect of blends of ethanol with gasoline, flex-fuel, Biodiesel, Bio-CNG, Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), blends of Methanol with gasoline, dual fuel, Hydrogen etc.
