NTPC Rel Seeks Bids For Land, Power Evacuation Of 300 MW Solar-BESS Project

NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) has invited bids to build a 300MW solar project with Battery Energy Storage. The project would be located near the 300 MW Nokhra Solar plant of NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) in Rajasthan. The tender offers land and power evacuation package to develop this project. The latest tender also offers to develop an additional 300 MW Solar with BESS projects. NTPC-REL has sought bids up to April 18th, 2025.

In a brief scope of work, the bidder is responsible for undertaking land-related works in arrangement of government/private Land (5 acres/MW) on freehold/leasehold basis. The lease period shall be a minimum of 29 years 11 months. The tender explained that the government land would be a maximum of 10% of the total land.

Scope Of Work

The bidder would be responsible for developing the road till pooling substation, including any interconnection between plots (if not readily available) by self or through State machinery. The bidder would also be responsible for undertaking Topography Survey for Land Parcels and any cutting / Filling with compaction, to maintain an average slope of 10% for Solar Project Land for installation of tracker-based MMS. (Tracker system is not included in bidder’s scope). The slope of land would preferably be in one direction for at least 100m length in N-S Direction. 

The bidder is also required to have prior experience in executing and undertaking arrangement of land for grid connected Solar projects/Solar Parks or Wind Projects/Wind Parks or combination thereof. It must also have experience in developing 100 MW or projects, out of which at least one project/ Park should be of 50 MW or higher capacity. The work(s) referred to above can be in projects/works which are commissioned or yet to be commissioned
