Mumbai Gets its First Solar Powered EV Charging Station by ATUM By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Thu, May 5th, 2022 Highlights : The ATUM Charge comes with 16 universal charging units and the units will collectively generate about 24 kWh every day. AUTM claims to have already installed 250 charging stations in India. Mumbai is the latest addition to the network of AUTM. Mumbai – the economic hotspot of the country – has got its first electric vehicle charging station which is fully powered by solar power panels on the roof of the superstructure. The announcement has come from ATUM which is setting up the charging station – ‘ATUM Charge.’ ATUM belongs to Visaka Industries which provides EV charging solutions. AUTM says that the company has expertise in making 100% solar-powered EV charging stations that are self-sustaining in nature. AUTM claims to have already installed 250 charging stations in India. Mumbai is the latest addition to the network of AUTM. As per ATUM, the electric vehicle charging station has a 5.2KW ATUM Solar Roof. AUTM says that it is an electricity-generating solar roof which is patented by AUTM in countries like India, South Africa and the United States of America. AUTM also calls it the first electricity-generating solar roof in the world. ATUM has established its solar EV charging station in Malad suburban area in North Mumbai. The ATUM Charge comes with 16 universal charging units. The units will collectively generate about 24 kWh every day and 8,760 kWh annually.
