It’s done through a DC fast charger. The new EQS electric SUV’s construction is done on the dedicated EV architecture platform of Mercedes-Benz. The same platform is employed for the EQS and the EQE sedans. Industry says that Mercedes-Benz EQS electric SUV will take on its closest rivals like BMW iX, Audi e-tron, Jaguar I-PACE and Tesla Model X. As far as powertrain is concerned, the EQS SUV will be out in three different versions – EQS 450+, EQS 450 4Matic, and EQS 580 4Matic. The base model EQS 450+ will be available in rear-wheel-drive and a massive 355 hp of power and 568 Nm. The Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV features designs that are similar to Mercedes-EQ. The electric vehicle has also borrowed some of the style elements from EQS Luxury Sedan. The angular LED headlamps flank the front portion that hosts a back panel. Its headlamps are connected by a horizontal LED light bar. The EQS SUV features a panoramic sunroof, flush-fitting door handles, a side-step, multi-spoke alloy wheels and a roof-integrated spoiler at the rear. Inside the luxury car, the electric vehicle features Mercedes-Benz’s MBUX Hyperscreen integrating three displays. They are the instrument cluster, the infotainment unit and a separate screen for the front passenger. The electric EQS SUV is also available with ventilated & heated seats. There is also a rear-seat entertainment system with a 116 inch touchscreen. The top EQS 580 4Matic can spew 536 hp of power and 858 Nm. In India, the EQS electric SUV can be expected in 2023.
