Largo Resources Picks Site for 1.4 GWh Battery Plant By Bhoomika Singh/ Updated On Mon, May 10th, 2021 Toronto based vanadium battery maker, Largo Resources Ltd. has announced the development of its clean energy divisions by securing the plant site for its 1.4 GWh battery manufacturing facility and product development center in Massachusetts, U.S. Largo Clean Energy has been looking to expand the capacity of its VCHARGE± vanadium redox flow battery (VRFB) systems. Electrolyte, electrolyte tank, and stack container will be manufactured at the new plant sites. Energy industry executives will focus on driving the development of its clean energy division, including the commercialization and strategic deployment of its VCHARGE± system. The Company finalized the manufacturing strategy for its clean energy division and began to establish the supply chain required to deliver on its targeted deployment timelines and cost structure during Q1 2021. The Company also approved a location in New 1 Hampshire, U.S. for its clean energy division’s electrolyte production and manufacturing of containerized VRFB systems. “We continued to make considerable progress in advancing our clean energy division with the view of becoming a leading player in the long-duration energy storage sector with our superior VRFB technology.
