India - Japan Collaborate To Establish EV Manufacturing Capacity In Karnataka Cabinet Minister of Large & Medium Industries and Infrastructure Development, Government of Karnataka MB Patel recently, in his social media post on X, announced collaboration between Karnataka and Japan to manufacture Electric Vehicles (electric vehicles (EVs) in the state. In a recent announcement on social media platform X, he shared details of the upcoming collaboration. He stated, “A recent delegation led by Nakane Tsutomu, Consul General of Japan, on his recent trip #NakaneTsumoto ravaru and parliamentary delegates. This was a step towards building robust #KarnatakaJapan relationship. The collaboration between Karnataka and Japan has thrived, and the state government is dedicated to taking it to new heights. With over 525 Japanese companies, including industry giants Toyota and Honda, actively involved in industrial activities, Karnataka is a hub of innovation. He added, “The Japan Industrial Township in Tumkur and the Japan-India Startup Hub are fostering collaboration between startups of both countries. I’ve extended a warm invitation to more Japanese companies with technological expertise to invest and contribute to Karnataka’s continued growth.” He expalined, “In recent years, the state has been at the fore in the fields of artificial intelligence, machine learning, manufacturing of Electric Vehicles (EVs), and has world-class research centers that will help investors. There are more than 525 Japanese companies in the state including Toyota, Hitachi, Mitsubishi, Honda. Japan Industrial Township is located in Tumkur. Known for its technological expertise, it has invited more Japanese companies to start their manufacturing activities in Karnataka itself.” He also mentioned, “The Consul General of Japan in India #NakaneTsutomu and the members of the Parliamentary delegation of that country met me today and held talks. The relationship between Karnataka and Japan has been constructive since the beginning.
