Gentari Green Mobility Launches Formally With Gentari Go App In India

The Gentari Go app has been officially launched in India, part of Gentari Green Mobility India’s foray into the Indian sustainability market. The app is designed to be an integrated, all-in-one customer experience platform that allows users to seamlessly access clean energy offerings, from home solar to green mobility solutions.

At the unveiling event, Gentari Green Mobility India signed contracts with EV network charging firms Numocity, Statiq and ChargeZone, ensuring access to an over 1500 charger network across India via Gentari Go for users. Pricing for charging will depend on the provider and local tariffs.

Learning off their experience in Malaysia, Gentari hopes to provide value to India’s goals of reaching 30% EV adoption by 2030. Nikhil Thomas, CEO of Gentari Green Mobility India, said that the main purpose behind the launch of Gentari Go app is to provide solutions that enable efficient decarbonization and improved operational efficiency for businesses of all sizes.

Gentari Go offers a suite of features designed to benefit both businesses and consumers. For businesses, the app empowers fleet operators with access to an extensive network for public chargers, business credits and optimized fleet management through telematics support. The app also provides seamless integration with the Gentari Go roaming hub, connecting both B2C and B2B customers, providing immediate access to a larger customer base with additional revenue. For car manufacturers and OEMs, Gentari Go provides exclusive features like Membership Passes, Credits, AutoCharge, Plug & Charge and in-car integration.

On the consumer side, Gentari Go provides a simple interface that guides first-time users through the discovery, activation and payment processes. For users who don’t own an EV, the app even includes a section to book a test drive, with the current selection being limited to EVs made by MG. In addition to the EV charger discovery, the app has partnered up with Petronas owned Amplus Solar to introduce options for solar roof bookings and consultations. Gentari Go app rewards users with points and redeemable incentives for purchasing products through the app.

According to CEO Nikhil Thomas, the company is currently focusing on Vehicles As A Service as a way to incentivize users and companies to buy into EVs by reducing the upfront required capital investment.

The app is currently available via the Apple App Store and Google Play store.

While dedicated charging networks have been available so far for users, notably through Tata Motors (4W)and Ather Energy (2W),  Gentari’s app seems tp be the most exhaustive offering from a third party provider.
