Gensol Electric Vehicles Pvt. Ltd. (GEVPL), a subsidiary of Gensol Engineering Limited, today announced its plans to showcase its first-ever compact electric vehicle, EZIO. The company will present its upcoming model at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, scheduled to take place from January 17 to January 22, 2025, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.

Gensol EV, an Indian OEM, aims to redefine urban commuting with EZIO, a 2-door, 2-seater electric vehicle that embodies modernity, intelligence, and space efficiency.

“EZIO exemplifies advanced technology and sustainability, featuring several industry-first innovations, setting a new benchmark in the EV segment. This innovative vehicle is poised to offer a modern and sustainable urban mobility solution, perfectly aligned with India’s growing commitment to decarbonized mobility,” the firm said in a statement.

Manufacturing in full swing 

Having obtained the required government approvals, Gensol EV is now focused on manufacturing and launching its maiden four-wheeler EV. The company has established a manufacturing facility in Pune, Maharashtra, dedicated to producing EZIO.

Manufactured at Pune 

Manufactured at Gensol’s advanced greenfield plant in Chakan, Pune, the facility has an annual production capacity of 30,000 units and is set to play a crucial role in driving mass adoption of EVs in India.

Established in 2012, Gensol Engineering Limited is a renewable energy company specializing in solar power engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services, alongside electric mobility solutions. Gensol Solar EPC has successfully executed over 770 MW of diverse solar projects across India. In September 2023, Gensol acquired Scorpius Trackers to enhance its renewable energy offerings. Additionally, Gensol provides comprehensive EV leasing solutions catering to sectors such as PSUs, educational institutions, government entities, ride-hailing services, and logistics.
