Through the Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles (FAME II) program, the charging stations will be installed on a design, build, operate, finance, and transfer basis. The project should cost around Rs 3.2 crores. The last date for submitting the online bid is December 29, 2022. Bids will be opened on January 3, 2023. The supply, building, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of the EV charging stations are all included in the project’s scope. The winning bidders are obligated to carry out all additional tasks necessary for the construction and operation of the charging stations under the parameters of the bid. The earnest money deposit (EMD) requirement for interested bidders is Rs. 640,000. Startups may, however, pay an EMD concession of Rs 80,000. The registration and processing cost for the tender is Rs 18,000 each. Consumers might be charged a maximum of Rs 8 per kWh by the bidders. They must include fixed costs, operation and maintenance costs, GEDA rentals, and other fees in their financial bids. Bidders may submit quotes for any number of locations, but only eight locations will be chosen. Within ten days of the day the work order was issued, the chosen vendors must provide a security deposit in the amount of 3% of the total contract value. Within five months, the stations must be put into service, and maintenance must be provided for ten years. A penalty of Rs 15,000 per charging station each week, up to a maximum of Rs 150,000, would be assessed by GEDA in the event of any delays in the completion of the work. Bidders must have a positive net worth and a minimum average annual turnover of Rs 5 crore in any of the previous five fiscal years.
