Quantum Energy & Log9 launch 2 Wheeler EV Bzinesslite, Promise 80% Charging in 12 Minutes

Bengaluru-headquartered, advanced deep-tech and battery tech startup, Log9 Materials, has announced entering into a long-term strategic partnership, initiated through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), with Hyderabad-headquartered EV OEM firm Quantum Energy Limited. As a part of this collaboration, the two companies have jointly unveiled a new vehicle model, which they claim is India’s fastest-charging two-wheeler commercial electric vehicle (CEV) named Bzinesslite, which is InstaCharged by Log9. The vehicle gets 0 to 80% charged within 12 minutes. Bzinesslite is powered by Log9’s RapidX 2000 batteries.

Going forward, both Log9 and Quantum Energy will be working hand-in-hand to fulfill the target of deploying 10,000 2W InstaCharged EVs across India by March 2024. The 2W EVs shall be catering to a wide variety of use-cases, including e-commerce, food delivery, courier services, among others, in the Indian last-mile logistics sector. The joint initiative is going to be kicked off soon by deploying 200 Bzinesslite e-2Ws in Hyderabad through Whizzy Logistics – a logistics fleet service provider enabling hyperlocal deliveries.

The newly-launched Bzinesslite E2W has been designed with an array of features, such as great speed, quick acceleration, superior range (80-90 kms), multi-theft alarm and multiple driving mode. Furthermore, it can operate safely within extreme temperature ranges of -30° to 65° celsius and offers six-year unlimited kilometers warranty with assured buy back aimed at providing utmost peace of mind to B2B customers adopting these InstaCharged EVs to run their businesses, without having to worry about the recurring cost and inconvenience of frequent second-battery replacements. The 2W is also compatible with public chargers, enabling high utilization of the current charging infrastructure. The vehicle gets 0 to 80% charged within 12 minutes.

The Indian E2W Market

Over the past few years, e2Ws have been dominating India’s burgeoning B2B last-mile logistics landscape. With numerous e-commerce and food/grocery delivery players of the nation realizing the long-term advantages, and thereby committing to, embracing 2W EVs over their petrol and diesel-based counterparts, it has been possible for the two-wheeler segment to truly front-end the ongoing EV revolution in the nation’s logistics and last-mile delivery space. Which is why, the 2W EV fleets are also playing an increasingly important role nowadays in terms of reduction of carbon footprint of the last-mile logistics sector in India.

Log9 and Quantum Energy, have set sights on bolstering the adoption of 2W EVs pan-India, by introducing the riders/drivers and operators of these E2Ws to the benefits of fast-charging and longer cycle life vehicles for facilitating uninterrupted last-mile deliveries throughout the day.

A month ago, Log9 Materials launched India’s first commercial Li-ion cell manufacturing facility at its campus in Jakkur, Bengaluru. The commercial Li-ion cell manufacturing line has an initial capacity of 50 MWh.
