Delta Electronics Unveils Microgrid-based Green EV Charging Station at ELECRAMA 2023 By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Tue, Feb 21st, 2023 Highlights : The green EV charging station solution enables microgrids to provide clean electricity to EVs while helping to stabilize the grid of the EV charging infrastructure. Delta claims to be a major contributor to the “Make in India” initiative through its new growing manufacturing capabilities in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu. Taiwan-based power management and RE solutions provider Delta Electronics presented a wide portfolio of IoT-based smart green solutions at ELECRAMA 2023, Greater Noida, India. The smart green solutions includes a smart microgrid-based green EV charging station and the new Open-Loop Variable-Torque Standard Drive VP3000 Series. The Green EV Charging Station The green EV charging station is a total solution integrating Delta’s EV chargers, energy storage systems, PV inverters and EV charging infrastructure management system to enable microgrids capable of providing clean electricity to EVs while helping to stabilize the grid of the EV charging infrastructure. Delta held that the new VP3000 Series, with high power rating up to 630kW, enhances productivity and lowers harmonic distortion (THDi) down to 35% in industrial motors used in HVAC, pumps, compressors, water supply applications. Delta claims to be a major contributor to the “Make in India” initiative through its new growing manufacturing capabilities in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu. Benjamin Lin, President, Delta Electronics India, said, “From 2010 to 2021, our high-efficiency products and solutions helped our customers save over 35.9 billion kWh of electricity, which translates into a reduction of 19.01 million tons CO2 emission. We intend to leverage our global leadership in energy infrastructure, reflected in the more than 2 million Delta EV chargers shipped to our customers worldwide over the past decade, to help Indian cities reduce their carbon footprint.” Niranjan Nayak, MD, Delta Electronics India, said, “We have cumulatively delivered over 7,000 EV chargers to our customers across the country, and the Green EV Charging Station launched today at ELECRAMA will help facilitate India’s e-mobility transition even further.” Nayak said that the new VP3000 series of Delta is an important addition to its broad industrial automation solutions offering for a wide range of applications. Delta has also demonstrated at ELECRAMA how its solutions transform transportation, factories, buildings, telecom power sites, and data centres, into intelligent, connected and sustainable infrastructure.” Open-Loop Variable-Torque Standard Drive VP3000 Series The second launch of Delta was the Open-Loop Variable-Torque Standard Drive VP3000 Series specifically designed for the fluid industry to enhance machine operation efficiency and reduce inverter harmonic wave distribution. The VP3000 Series features driving performance and stability and supports multiple types of efficiency motors, including induction motors, permanent magnet motors, synchronous reluctance motors. It helps improve motor productivity and also reduces carbon emissions for environmental sustainability.
