Chinese Battery Manufacturer EVE Energy Scores Second Gigawatt Scale US Deal By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Tue, Jun 20th, 2023 China based lithium-ion battery manufacturer EVE Energy has signed a deal with American Battery Solutions for 5GWh of LFP lithium-ion cells a year for ABS’s TeraStor platform. The master supply agreement (MSA) will see American Battery Solutions (ABS ESS) procure 5GWh of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery cells from Eve for its grid-scale energy storage system (ESS) platform. It will help ABS ESS to deploy its 30GWh of targeted projects over the next three years. ABS ESS has a 16,000 square meter facility in Ohio where assembly of assembling lithium-ion battery packs for the EV sector is done. EVE Energy is a fast emerging battery supplier, hoping to soon join Tier 1 suppliers like CATL, LG Chem, Samsung SDI, BYD and Northvolt among global leaders.
