BPCL and Bounce Infinity Collaborate To Set Up Battery Swapping Stations By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Tue, May 31st, 2022 Highlights : Bounce Infinity will set up battery swapping stations across Bharat Petroleum fuel stations in a phased manner in 10 cities of India. Apart from strengthening the retail business, the smart framework will cater to the interoperable partners that will ease mobility across geographies. BPCL to set up 1 GW Re projects in Rajasthan State owned Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) and Bounce Infinity have said that they have collaborated to strengthen the extensive battery swapping infrastructure of Bounce Infinity. According to the company statement, Bounce Infinity will set up battery swapping stations across Bharat Petroleum fuel stations in the collaboration. This will be done in a phased manner in 10 cities of India with some 3,000 stations. The official statement held that consumers looking to swap their nearly drained batteries can search for the nearest swapping location on the Bounce App. Apart from strengthening the retail business, the smart framework will cater to the interoperable partners that will ease mobility across geographies. Electric two wheelers, three wheelers and OEMs will be the additional beneficiaries. The statement read that two wheelers and three wheelers that are converted to EV from ICE would benefit from the new Bounce Infinity battery swapping solution. The Infinity swapping stations will be having charged and ready-to-go batteries which will help the clients to easily swap their own empty batteries within a few minutes eliminating long waits. He also said that BPCL said that it has EV charging roadmap where it will set up fast charging corridors across major highways and also the economic centres. The entire network will have 7,000 fast charging stations in the coming next 2-3 years.
