Battery Electric Cars Sale In EU Increases By 55% In 2022: Eurostat Europe Union (EU) witnessed a rise in the sale of battery-only electric passenger cars in 2022 reveals the data shared by Eurostat, which is the statistical office of the European Union. It also showcased an increase in the number of battery-only electric passenger cars in the EU. It stated, “Battery-only electric passenger cars in the EU countries almost reached 3.0 million.” The office found ‘A rise in 2022 by 55% compared with 2021 which took the total number of batteries only to 1.9 million.’ It stated based on Eurostat’s finding “The highest annual rate of increase in battery-only electric passenger cars in the period 2013-2022 was noted between 2019 and 2020 (+85%), followed by the increase in 2021 compared with 2020 (+78%).
