Wind Resource Analyst

Roles & Responsibilities:-

• Conduct detailed WRA assessments for projects, including micro siting, constraints mapping & PLF assessment for existing projects while procuring land parcels
• Work with BD for project suitability studies during origination, including WRA assessments, PVsyst analysis, down selection of sites and technical specifications.
• Lead & maintain the met mast installation and data capture
• Lead Value Engineering and innovation ideas to reduce LCOE for Wind
• Provide engineering design inputs, Good for construction drawings, and scope matrix for new projects/ BD contracts.
• Lead & maintain the latest turbine data and power curve comparisons, including technical comparisons
• Conduct performance related technical assessments for existing fleet
• Experience conducting wind resource and energy production assessments, including long-term resource estimation, energy production and wake loss analysis, and uncertainty analysis.
• Should also have knowledge and experience in analyzing the energy generation of other RE technologies like Pumped Hydro, battery storage etc to meet the RTC power requirements.
• Performance assessment of operating assets with respect to investment assumptions and find out the reasons for underperformance coordinating with Wind Resource Team, Performance Assessment team and O&M team.
• Identify potential windy sites as per the business requirements of the Company and suggest wind mast locations for wind, wind-solar hybrid projects.

Qualification & Experience:-
Knowledge:-

• 5+ years of proven experience in relevant field
• Expert in WASP (Mandatory)
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Project)
• Strong knowledge about renewable energy sector specifically.
• Techno commercial understanding of renewable projects & compliance.
• Experience operating with commercially available or proprietary tools (i.e.,Windfarmer, Windpro, Wasp, Openwind, PVSyst, Helioscope, Homer Pro) or other equivalent analysis programs.
