Job Description

  • Project Leadership: Lead and oversee all aspects of wind energy projects from conception to completion, ensuring they meet safety, quality, and financial targets.
  • Team Management: Build and manage a team of skilled professionals, including project managers, engineers, and support staff, to effectively execute wind projects.
  • Site Selection: Identify suitable locations for wind energy projects, considering wind resources, environmental impact, and regulatory requirements.
  • Permitting and Compliance: Ensure that all projects comply with relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations and obtain the necessary permits.
  • Budget and Cost Control: Develop and manage project budgets, control costs, and implement cost-saving measures while maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans to prevent project delays and unforeseen challenges.
  • Supply Chain Management: Oversee the procurement of materials and services required for wind projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality assurance and quality control processes to ensure that projects meet performance and reliability standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain positive relationships with various stakeholders, including landowners, local communities, and regulatory authorities.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare regular reports on project progress, budget status, and safety records for senior management and regulatory purposes.
  • Environmental and Sustainability Focus: Incorporate sustainability and environmental best practices into project planning and execution.
  • Project Commissioning: Oversee the commissioning and testing of wind turbines and systems to ensure they operate efficiently and reliably.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives in project management processes, safety protocols, and operational efficiency.

Qualification & Certification Required:-

  • Bachelor’s degree/master’s degree in engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is desirable.

Work Experience:-

  • Proven experience in managing wind energy projects, with a strong background in renewable energy or wind technology.

Knowledge, Skills, & Technology Platform:

  • Excellent project management skills, including budget management, scheduling, and risk assessment.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations, permitting processes, and safety standards in the wind energy industry.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-building abilities.
  • An understanding of wind turbine technology and its operation is a plus.
