Validation Engineer – HW

This position is within the Radar based ADAS product line of NXP in Bangalore, where the next generation ADAS products are being developed towards autonomous driving. The role involves ownership of Digital IP’s of a Microcontroller based system to prove the quality of the design and product thereof.

Expectations:-

You will be part of a growing team of highly talented Validation Engineers working on various aspects of Product Validation and Qualification, ranging from security to automation to anomaly detection. You will be an active participant in various technical discussions, take complete ownership of the assigned IP’s, and have thorough understanding of its place in the system and how the SoC is envisioned as part of the product use case. You will be able to interpret the Architecture document and Requirements to build your test plan. You will also work on creating the testcases and its automation for functional validation.

Responsibilities:-

• Knowledge of uController operation, peripherals, memories, etc.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python; its application in areas of Automotive embedded system would be a cherry on the cake.
• Understanding of SW Automation Architectures.
• Instrumentation Knowledge: Lauterbach Debuggers (T32 knowledge).
• General Lab Instruments (Oscilloscope, Power Supply, Multimeter, etc.).
• Good Communication skills.
• Analytical skills to perform root-cause analysis.
• Ability to explain problems and observations in technical forums.

Qualifications And Experiences:-

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electronics, Communication, or Instrumentation Engineering.
• Experience of 8+ years in Product Validation and min. of 3 years (in the recent past) on Microcontroller validation.
