Test Engineer (Environmental/ EMI/EMC)

Job Responsibilities:-

• Review and analyze test requests to determine if the laboratory has the capability to perform the test.
• Prepare test requirements, DV /PV plan & lab schedule through VLIMS
• Interact with functional team PA/ PDTL/Quality/Warranty to get relevant test accessories, inputs and to update test
  status as and when require.
• Verify functionality features for the testing products as per Test plan/ drawing/Customer data.
• Assist in the test setup, based on test requirements, for the mounting of test samples.
• Conduct / monitor tests and equipment.
• Work with Environmental Lab Peers in order to understand the specific test setup requirements.
• Calculate and record test data, note discrepancies and make corrections as required.
• Ensure Environmental/EMI/ EMC/ Electrical tests are executed to OEM specifications and in a timely manner.
• Ensure all testing is conducted in compliance with applicable quality standards.
• Ability to work in shifts
• Support staff in the Testing, analysis, and preparation of Test Reports based on data collected from tests.
• Test method validation for customer and international standard periodically.
• Handle preventive and breakdown maintenance of the equipment.
• Assist in failures of products related to equipment, people, set up, methods, etc.
• Campaign for Customer Satisfaction Survey (using VLIMS or local process)
• Ensure Lab metrics like utilization, safety, Quality survey monthly
• Review & approve Calibration Certificates of equipment, received from the outside calibration agency.
• Follow up process to dispatch tested units back to relevant location.
• To ensure stringent follow–up of the ISO/IEC 17025 system in the lab.
• Support ISO 17025 accreditation, IATF 16949, TISAX certification and OEM recognition programs.

Qualification:-

• Diploma/Bachelor degree in Electrical/Electronics/Communication Engineering

Experience:-

• At least 5 years working experience in automotive testing laboratory in Environmental /Electrical/ EMI/EMC testing
• Knowledge about ISO 16750, ISO 7637, IEC 60068, JASO, ASTM and DIN standards
• Knowledge in LIMS process will be added advantage
• ISO 17025 accredited laboratory competency is mandatory

Preferred Competencies:-

• Familiar with Environmental test equipment like Climatic chamber, Thermal shock, Vibration, Dust, Salt spray, etc.
• Familiar with EMI/EMC test equipment like Conducted immunity, Bulk current Injection, ESD etc.
• Knowledge about Electrical Tests as per International and OEM standards.
• Handle and programming knowledge GW Instek /Agilent programmable power supplies and Keithley Oscilloscope.
• Quality Manual and QSP documentation knowledge as per ISO 17025:2017
• Functional knowledge for electronic products like Instrument cluster, Infotainment, Display, etc. is preferred
• Excellent English oral and written communication skills.
