Telecom Tower detailing Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform structural detailing / drafting of telecommunication structures and preparation of relevant structural drawings for steel lattice towers, steel Monopoles, rooftops poles, antenna mounts, and for using structural modelling programs for Indian and International standards.
• Undertake detailing connection review in line with applicable standards
• Generate fabrication, erection and piece mark drawings and generate bill of quantity for new structures and structural upgradation of existing towers.
• Identify potential risk within the site design survey inputs, visualize anticipated fitment issues on structural upgradation solutions, prepare risk assessment report along with measures in the drawings.
• Ensure project deliveries in a timely and efficient manner with quality results.
• Coordinate with Project Engineers for preparation of working detailed drawings including site inspection and feasibility reporting.
• Produce upgradation solutions for client briefs within scheduled time frames.

Desired Candidate Profile:-

• Candidate must have Civil / Mechanical Engineering qualification
• Well versed with 2D/ 3D Drafting Using AutoCAD
• Knowledge on steel structures modeling software – BOCAD, TEKLA, ANSYS, Solid Works.
• Familiarity on Lisp programming in AutoCAD is preferred.
• 2 to 3 years’ experience in the Telecommunications/structural industry
• Previous experience in structural upgradation of towers, structural detailing or antenna mounting support structures
• Familiarity with Indian and American Standards and Strong knowledge of Geographic Information System (GIS) and engineering systems.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral with the ability to present information to a range of audiences.
• Proficient in liaising with client representatives to provide project status updates and manage client expectations.
• Strong client engagement and project management that will support growth in client business.

Software skills:-

• BOCAD, TEKLA, ANSYS, Solid Works

• Engineering skills with analytical approach
• Work as a team member with good interpersonal skills
• Structured working style with result-oriented approach
• Should be able to build and maintain good relationships with clients and colleagues
• Excellent in English skills oral and written is very important and a requirement
