Technical Specialist -Carbon Capture & Storage Process

You will be working as Technical Specialist -Carbon Capture & Storage Process and will be part of Process Automation business for Energy Industries division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Senior Engineering Manager and will be responsible for driving the automation solution portfolio of the business. You will be working as a solution-oriented engineer and like to work on complex projects, driving innovative technical solutions to our customers.

Responsibilities:-

• Working with the sales organization for Technical Advisory (TA) role in preparing automation technical solutions for energy industry in the segment of Carbon Capture, Utilization & Storage (CCUS) automation for customer and presenting the solutions to customer across the NEU region to support the proposal process
• Acting as innovator to address the technical solution and offering for new emerging market conditions like new energy transition
• You will be supported by a technical hub of engineers, who will be supporting you with the technical drafting of solutions
• Determining offered solutions and product versions, including the extent of standard and non-standard solution scope to meet low to high complexity customer requirements
• Building network internally and externally for exchange of information, best practices and lessons learned
• Creating and executing strategies for risk and opportunity management in one’s area of responsibility

Qualification And Experience:-

• Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Technology (electronics/control and instrumentation)
• 7 to 10 years’ experience in DCS and power plant/process industry
• Good knowledge on Carbon Capture, Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS), CCS, Loading Arms for Ships, LNG carriers and LCO2 carrier ships
• Knowledge of the ABB-DCS 800xA – “SCADA” system configuration, application engineering and commissioning
• Knowledge on third party communication interfaces (Fieldbus, Profibus, ProfiNET, Modbus, OPC, IEC61850, etc.)
• Current knowledge of network engineering and IT developments (PC handling, Windows applications, PC configurations, virus scanners, interfaces, backup)
