Sustainability Manager

• The Energy & Sustainability Manager oversees the development, roll-out and ongoing reporting of energy and sustainability related initiatives across the portfolio to ensure delivery of client KPI’s including but not limited to energy savings, carbon emission reduction, water, and waste management.
• This role is responsible for developing and implementing a sustainability strategy for a client’s real estate portfolio in the Asia Pacific region. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities for reducing energy consumption, improving environmental performance, and enhancing the overall sustainability of the portfolio.
• The Energy and Sustainability Manager is responsible for operationalizing JLL’s sustainability solution and strategy at a local and regional level. This role reports to the Regional Account Director.

Sustainable Operational Delivery:-

• Develop and execute energy management or sustainability strategy which aligns with client sustainability objectives & strategies.
• Implement energy and sustainability programs to reach objectives.
• Support corporate reporting objectives and provide management information relating to the use of utilities and the impact on the internal and external environment.
• Manage the energy, waste, and water data collection process within JLL’s Sustainability technology platform and produce monthly / quarterly reports that are tailored to meet client specific requirements.
• Drive operational improvements though the identification and implementation of opportunities to improve energy and sustainability performance across the real estate portfolio.
• Collaborates with other JLL energy managers to share best practices, develop case studies and develop new business opportunities.
• Engage with JLL facility managers to become the key point of contact for the provision of wide-ranging advice in relation to all aspects of corporate sustainability.
• Develop and enhance systems and processes for delivering best practice sustainability performance and use of utility/sustainability management systems for monitoring and/or reporting purposes.

Sustainability Strategy and Reporting:-

• Conduct assessments of the portfolio’s energy and environmental performance, including supporting JLL’s corporate sustainability consultants perform energy audits, greenhouse gas emissions assessments, and water and waste audits (where applicable).
• Identify opportunities for improving the portfolio’s energy efficiency and reducing its environmental impact, including the implementation of energy-saving measures, renewable energy systems, and sustainable water and waste management practices.
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including property managers, tenants, suppliers, and regulators, to ensure the sustainability strategy is effectively communicated and implemented.
• Monitor and report on the portfolio’s sustainability performance, including tracking progress against key performance indicators, analyzing trends, and identifying areas for improvement.
• Keep up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in sustainability, energy management, and environmental performance, and provide recommendations for improving the portfolio’s sustainability performance.

Experience and Qualifications:-

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field, such as Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or Business Administration.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in sustainability, energy management, or environmental performance, preferably in the real estate industry.
• Knowledge of sustainability frameworks and standards, such as LEED, GRESB, or ISO 14001.
• Experience in conducting energy audits and environmental assessments.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop recommendations.
• Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in other languages spoken in the Asia Pacific region is preferred
