Sustainability & HSE Specialist

You will be working as Sustainability & HSE Specialist and will be part of Process Automation business area for Process Industries division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Global Engineering Manager and will be responsible for monitoring the division’s sustainability, environmental, and HSE performance programs, managing internal reporting requirements and establishing a standard data management approach across the division to fulfill corporate sustainability and HSE governance requirements.

Responsibilities:-

• Leading and implementing different functional improvement projects and programs, i.e., learning management system, active employee engagement activities, internal HSE and sustainability campaigns coordination, organization wide HSE and sustainability awareness enhancement working with the internal communication team
• Assisting sustainability and HSE function in the execution of its programs, policies and strategies to implement ABB Way for HSE management system & 2030 Sustainability strategy. Collecting and disseminating division HSE & sustainability plan describing clear objectives and closely following up quarterly delivery at operating locations level
• Developing, analyzing, and reporting KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) on environmental performance and progress in implementing ABB’s sustainability objectives and all environmental incidents and issues. Analytical support for HSE and environmental, social, Governance (ESG) reporting, tracking, assesses emerging compliance trends, the latest legislation and communicating relevant information on sustainability requirements to relevant business stakeholders
• Creating and maintaining sustainability dashboards, charts, reports to track progress and communicating results to stakeholders on different programs. Ensuring appropriate sustainability, environmental and HSE tools are readily available and utilized consistently across all operational countries
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, multiple stakeholders to review and drawing conclusions from sustainability and HSE data. Identifying areas for functional process improvement.
• Proposing and implementing solutions to enhance performance, quality, speed efficiency and data or reporting accuracy

Qualification And Experience:-

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Environment Management with international sustainability or HSE certifications
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in supporting business at different levels for sustainability, environmental reporting, HSE management and reporting
• Working knowledge and experience of eco vadis, CDP, SBIT, GRI and ESG rating standards
• A solution-focused and self-starter mindset, a passion for driving sustainability, health, safety globally, strong written and spoken communication skills
