Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer

You will be working as Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer, reporting to Production Manager for Electrification Business Area, Distribution Solutions Division based in Nasik. You will be responsible to perform supply quality issue resolution including supplier claims preparation. Identify and carry out development of supplier capabilities and performance to implement Category strategy and mitigate risks.

Responsibilities:-

• Drive the supplier qualification and ensure the supply base is fully qualified and Assessment (audit) compliant. Verify effective closure of assessment non-conformances, by the supplier.
• Perform required product surveillance at supplier manufacturing site. Perform assessments to establish a fact-based baseline of current state.
• Ensure Early Supplier Involvement (ESI) in product development activities to maximize capture of supplier innovation and improvements in Quality, Delivery, Cost and Risk level.
• Perform risk mitigation activities on request from the organization. Coach and lead team members involved in the development activities.
• Develop and support targeted suppliers to achieve ongoing conformity with Customer and ABB requirements and continuous improvement in quality.
• Ensure that defined systems and practices are in line with existing Group/Division/BU instructions and procedures.

Qualification And Experience:-

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 – 10 years of experience in switchgear industry.
• Good knowledge in supplier performance evaluation.
• Collaborative mindset with excellent negotiation and communication skills.
