Substation GET T&D

Burns & McDonnell India (BMI) T&D is looking for young, dynamic and self-motivated Electrical Engineer Graduate Trainees (GET) to support our T & D Engineering and Design Team in the Mumbai Office. T&D offers depth and breadth of experience in power delivery facilities like overhead transmission, underground transmission, substation design, renewable power integration, Smart Grid and more, which offer a wide range of design and project execution experiences. This position is responsible for the design and evaluation of electrical systems associated with power delivery facilities. Candidate will perform work which involves both conventional engineering practices and complex situations, requiring innovation

relative to work practices and procedures.

Following are some specific duties & responsibilities:-

• Performing analysis and design calculations such as Lightening, lighting, earthing, AC & DC load analysis, relay settings tec. with worldwide used software.
• Preparing/creating deliverables like Design calculation Reports, SLDs, Substation layouts, Schematic & wiring diagrams & related construction drawings.
• Coordinating project design assignments and design teams.
• Reviewing vendor drawings.
• Regularly meeting and corresponding with Clients.
• Requested to support assignments on projects and overall office needs.
• Willing to advance in career by taking increased engineering design responsibilities by closely working with discipline lead engineer.
• A committed team player able to work on own initiative.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good Communication skills (verbal & written) and ability to self-check and produce accurate work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in electrical/Civil Engineering.
• Min percentage 75% & above (or GCPA min 8.0 & above).
• Proficient in the English language.
• Prior internship at substation is preferred.
• Computer software knowledge in MS-office, Auto-Cad and other tools.
