Structural Designer

Responsibilities:-

• Plan for Producing technical drawings in support of engineering, procurement, fabrication and construction activities
• Check structural design taking into account constructability aspect, including welding details and 2D drafts produced by designers.
• Software: AutoCAD, PDMS, PDMS DRAFT, NAVISWORKS.
• Execute the discipline design activities and tasks assigned by the Lead Engineer
• Review 3D PDMS Model to ensure design aspects are incorporated and model is clash free.
• Review 2D Drawings to ensure adequate dimensions necessary to assist the Engineering disciplines and Fabrication/Construction personnel are indicated.
• Perform discipline interface checks, identify conflicts, and take corrective action in coordination with other engineering discipline inputs
• Review/Prepare material take off (MTO), review vendor drawings, ensuring vendor specifications are in full compliance with contract requirements
• Provide clarification and technical support during construction phase of the project.
• Perform design changes and alterations based on Design Change Notices (DCN’s) /Management of Change (MOC) if required
• Adherence to Company QMS procedures.
• Ability to Meet Schedules and deadlines as per discipline planning.
• Exposure to EPC environments
• Knowledge in detailed Engineering projects is mandatory
• Fixing of CAN length as per API requirement.
• Good knowledge of material grade and usage.
• Relevant site experience is preferred.
• Should be an effective Team player, capable of working with Multi-National Clients and possess Good communication skills
