Job Description

Your Tasks:-

  • Development of new strength assessment approaches on structural components for wind turbines
  • Planning and executing of research projects together with internal and external partners
  • Transfer of material test data into material properties for design calculation
  • Owner of the strength calculation guidelines
  • Supporting product development departments on the castings related queries regarding strength assessment
  • Supporting the quality department

Qualifications And Experience:-

  • Study in Continuum Mechanics, Mechanical or Materials Engineering with focus on static and fatigue strength assessment approaches, especially for casting materials
  • 6-10 years professional experience, Preferably Qualified Masters’ graduate in Mechanical
  • Expertise related with calculation methods dealing with safety factors and design concepts
  • Familiar with the implementation of international standards into design concepts with structural components
  • Very good knowledge on free surface and sub-surface fatigue, fracture mechanics, wear mechanism
  • Very good expertise on fatigue strength and fracture mechanics analysis
  • Basic knowledge on fatigue post processing software like N-code and coding skills in Matlab or Python
  • Familiar with the standards related to NDT of castings
