Job Summary:-

• EIIC – Power Quaity Division (PQD-ES Americas) has an opening for an Sr Hardware Engineer position who is passionate about his/her trade, to join our team in building the design, development and testing of Hardware projects for Power Quality products in Electrical Domain. This position is part of the 150-350KW EVCI New Product Introduction development team.  This engineer is responsible for the development of 3-phase power conversion and distribution products from initial proposal through production launch for the power conversion market.  This role is responsible for leading large scale global platform engineering activities across the functions of electrical, mechanical, and embedded software engineering to develop EV chargers, Uninterruptible Power Supplies, Energy Storage products, and associated Accessories.

Job Responsibilities:-

• Design power electronic circuits and control systems for 3phase EV chargers and UPS systems.
• Design peripheral interfaces for microprocessors and microcontrollers.
• Participate in establishing design requirements and specifications, implement test set ups and perform design verification testing.
• Perform debugging and troubleshooting to identify design and test set up issues.
• Participate in system interface design activities and resolution of integration issues.
• Participate in tasks related to new product development including planning, task estimation, design, design verification, peer review, integration and release.
• Collaborate with external and internal customers, such as Marketing, Service, Operations and other engineering teams throughout the product development life cycle.
• Assist Lead Engineers and counterparts in design reviews.
• Plan and execute tasks in collaboration with the product team to ensure project objectives are met.
• Perform tasks per team processes and guidelines and provide recommendations for continuous process improvement.
• Propose and provide innovative, competitive technical solutions which can make significant business impact and provide value to stakeholders.
• Work directly with stakeholders, engineering, and test to create high quality products that solve customer problems.
• Suggests and develops re-usable hardware components and looks for continuous improvement opportunities.
• Shares knowledge within the team and demonstrates flexibility working in parallel on multiple assignments/product categories.
• Monitors progress and achievements on projects. Provides timely status updates and reports to stakeholders

Qualification And Experience:-

• 5-8 years experience in designing power electronics and mixed signals circuits.
• Strong experience in power electronics, power converter topologies and magnetics design.
• Sound experience in  analyzing, troubleshooting and programming microcontrollers based design circuits.
• Hands on experience in developing schematics and reviewing and approving board layouts.
• Testing and Troubleshooting new design issues to root cause.
• Strong experience in  using common tools and methods to work in high power lab environment including: oscilloscope, power analyzers and meters
• Strong knowledge of EMI / EMC certification and environmental compliances – UL /IEC / RoHS / REACH etc.
• Sound experience on simulation tools like PSpice, LTSpice, Matlab, etc.
• Experience with printed circuit board layout design involving tools like Altium and Allegro.
• Preferred knowledge on designing production testers and simulators.
• Self-starter with the ability to operate effectively with minimal supervision
• Desired :
• Knowledge of three phase EV chargers , UPS system design, control and communication boards
