Sr/Manager Legal (Finance)

This position shall be responsible for advising the business operations, legal opinions involving banking, payment services, negotiable instruments, securities, security enforcement laws, contracts and company compliance.

Duties & Responsibilities:-

• Advice all businesses on on-going requirements, broadly; attend to business/operations queries, ensure conduct of activities are as per the applicable laws/regulations, any changes resulting in regulatory approvals, applications for new activities/businesses, regular compliance checks, client on-boarding, implementation of circulars, etc.
• Documentation and negotiations related to fund raising and financial closures.
• Drafting, vetting and negotiation of techno-commercial contracts, joint venture agreements.
• Ability to identify, secure and suggest enhanced areas of revenues from Commercial contracts without compromising on risk assessment, statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct compliance testing of areas that pose high regulatory risks – dealing room checks, front running checks, record maintenance, etc.
• Conduct impact assessments of new regulations/circulars/guidelines and guide business and operations in implementing the changes.
• Ensure all periodic and ad-hoc regulatory filings are submitted correctly and in time.
• Streamline and improve existing compliance and operational processes.
• Draft, revise and keep updated the internal and mandated regulatory policies.
• Drafting/vetting of various agreements, side letters, NDAs, engagement letters involving the group companies- interests.

Qualification:-

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law with strong academic credentials.

Experience:-

• Min 10+ Years of legal experience.
• Strong legal experience in corporate and commercial matters.
• Adept at maintaining cordial relations with internal customers, external legal counsels and stakeholders of the Company.
• Solid knowledge of general business law issues of an independent power producer, including regulatory framework.
