Sr. Firmware Engineer

This position is for a highly motivated individual to work as part of a research and development team to design hardware and write embedded software for On-line UPS.  The candidate should have good written and verbal communication skills and be able to work in a team effectively.  This position requires support for new products as well as legacy products.

Job Duties:-

• Design new embedded hardware and software designs
• Develop, simulate and implement control algorithms for power conversion
• Maintain and extend embedded hardware and software for UPS systems
• Sustaining engineering support
• Verification and validation testing

Position Requirements:-

Required Skills and Education:-

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering; a master’s degree is a plus.
• 8 to 12 years’ experience in developing Firmware for UPS / Inverter / Power conversion products
• PFC / Inverter digital control implementation , State machine design and implementation
• Experience in architecting embedded software for Online UPS with state-machine
• Expert level knowledge of C/C++
• Working knowledge of PWM , ADC, CAN, SPI, USB, LCD and peripherals
• Ability to understand and extend code written by others
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work on a team

Desirable Skills:-

• Experience with SVN source control
