Sr Finance Manager – Commercial Finance Management

Responsible to develop innovative solutions to deliver Customer outcomes and drive growth while managing company risk/reward. Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Take initiatives to reduce improve Working capital and reduce Past Dues. Stays informed of industry trends that may influence work. Senior level professional requiring subject matter knowledge and experience, independence in problem solving and decision making.

Roles and Responsibilities:-

• Covering the full range of DAWs within the Commercial Finance family. This DAW also covers generalists responsible for driving commercial finance operating rhythms by providing centralized finance reporting capabilities, commercial productivity metrics, commercial forecasting, and contribute to the overall business growth. Lead commercial financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and analysis while supporting regional sales / commercial teams.
• Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise within their discipline. May require strong commercial awareness, and is expected to influence the development of strategy within own area, including control of resources and influences policy formulation.
• May lead functional teams or projects. Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others’ options on particular topics. May guide others to consider a different point of view.
• Impacts the team’s ability to achieve service, quality and timeliness of objectives. Work is subject to cross-functional policy objectives. Regularly advises management in the function and/or in the business. Has a supportive role in decision making about important subjects. High levels of evaluative judgment are required to achieve outcomes required.
• Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems that impact the function. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
• Drive commercial strategy by partnering with Region Commercial Leader and Commercial Operations, Legal, Compliance and OTR.
• Lead Deal Structuring and validation for complex deals (including consortium with GE companies or Third Parties) within and outside India. Coordinate with Tax, Treasury, Transfer pricing, OTR Finance and Controllership other functions and take validation before bid submission, including but not limited to: terms and conditions, customer requirements, guarantees and payment securities, cost estimates, manufacturing inputs, margins and cash flow.
• Make effective credit rating assessment of potential customers, financing agents, subcontractors and partners to mitigate financial risks and propose acceptable payment terms and conditions in the contract to ensure payment security and improved cash flow.
• Drive initiatives and Partner with Commercial and Operations team to reduce OWC and Past due. Leverage ROE on OTR to ITO.

Qualifications And Experience:-

• Master / Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance.
• + 15 years in Finance/Accounting. Preferably in industrial segment w/ Project Business experience.
• Ability & willingness to travel occasionally.
• Zero tolerance on compliance.
