Sr Engineer Primary Technical Support – Process Automation

Schneider Electric is seeking a Customer Success Process Automation for CS&Q agent for the <Greater India > who will be responsible for solving customer technical issues.

Assist all our customers in reaching higher profit by making the best use of SE technology. Deliver technical support and services at Advanced level in Process Automation system. Be a trusted advisor, provide prompt and trusted resolutions during presales and aftersales cycle time of applying Schneider Electric product and solutions to the customer’s project.

Key Responsibilities:-

• End to end resolution of the technical requests from customer on Troubleshooting, Application assistance, Product installation, technical characteristics, technical complaints etc within fixed timeframe.
• Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that are raised.
• Effective communication at all levels with the ability to maintain customer relationships, develop pragmatic solutions and solve problems.
• Understand, evaluate and reproduce received technical queries in laboratory to determine the root causes of the problem and convey the validated solution to customer.
• The ability to perform complex system tests.
• Creative thinking and detail-oriented knowledge on Networking System.
• Equipment (Modules) troubleshooting skills.
• Configuration Management Knowledge on Foxboro DCS/TRICONEX (Installing Software’s/Hardware’s).
• Process Identification and Mapping the Issues (Identifying the logical errors).

Core Competencies:-

• The duties of an process automation engineer includes Installing and Integrating Systems, scrutinizing the hardware (on failure) and processes that are intended to complete precise tasks.
• Foxboro Process Automation engineers work with both Foxboro DCS/Triconex Hardware and Software’s, which are responsible to enable the production or application of their machineries.
• Exposure to application engineering (P&ID, control narratives), Exposure in resolving  the Control HMI Issues, ArchestrA IDE , IACC modification/deployment errors, DCS, Triconex communicationand modules failure detailing and exposure in technologies such as FF, profibus, Modbus, OPC. (Additional – Commissioning of DCS, Triconex for process industries

Qualifications And Experience:-

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/Electronic/Instrumentation Engineering.
• Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on Onsite experience on Projects, Services, Installation and commissioning & troubleshooting of Process Automation products.
• Developing Logic Diagrams, Sequences based on Control narratives. Hands on experience in DCS system programming based on logic diagrams, loop schematics.
• Understanding of P&ID, Logic/ Interlock diagrams, Logic Flow charts.
• The ability to perform complex system tests.
• Ability to configure/troubleshooting networking switches.
• Detailed oriented knowledge on Networking System and its Issues.
• Hands on experience on graphics development with HMI Software’s.
• Equipment (Modules – FCP270/280/60 series, FBMS 200 series and Triconex MP, Analog and digital cards) troubleshooting skills along with compact IO hardware design knowledge.
• Configuration Management Knowledge on DCS/TRICONEX (Installing Software’s/Hardware’s).
• Process Identification and Mapping the Issues (Identifying the logical errors).
• Foxboro IA legacy system hands-on experience on IACC / ICC, Foxview-Foxdraw, AIM*AT configuration.
• Ability to attend OPC communication Issues.
• Foxboro system latest technology hands-on experience on FS Gateway, DDE Server, Wonderware Scripting, Alarm DB logger, Wonderware historian, Control Editor/FCS, Galaxy.
• Knowledge of various software components within the Foxboro DCS (sys mon, Dev mon, ann keyboard, timekeeper) and its interaction during integration / cutover.
• MESH network switch configuration skills and understanding of LDP/LPA concepts.
• Foxboro Interfaces with 3rd party using various protocols (Modbus TCP/IP, OPC), its details and configuration knowledge would be required.
• Hands-on experience and wide understanding of Schneider Electric products, solutions and engineering concepts would be an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills (Oral & Written) and ability to interact with global customers.
• Excellent problem solving and data analytical approach.
• Excellent team player.
